The bright lights of Broadway are a long way from the cattle farm I grew up on in rural
South Carolina, but the life lessons are still pretty much the hard, be nice to
people, and watch where you step.

About me: I have a bachelor’s degree in Social Work from the University of Georgia. I had
plans to save the world, until I discovered that the world didn’t really want to be saved. So I
moved on.

Next came an MBA in Arts Management and Marketing from the State University of New
York at Binghamton, followed by an immediate move to sunny Southern California (if
you’ve ever spent much time in Binghamton, you’ll completely understand). I was the
Marketing Director at San Diego Repertory Theatre (briefly), Dir. of Marketing and PR at
San Diego Opera (for two long years), The Theatre in Old Town San Diego (a theatre that is
still near and dear to my heart) and Playkill Productions (working on “Forbidden Broadway” and "Forbidden Hollywood" in San Diego, Los Angeles, New York and Japan).

I started as an Account Executive at Eliran Murphy Group, an ad agency specializing in
theatre and cultural arts, in 1996 and am currently Vice President of Account Services at
EMG. I've had the good fortune to work on a lot of great accounts and meet a lot of truly wonderful people in this job.

Aside from that, I live in Hell’s Kitchen, still have my hair and most of my own teeth, and enjoy
the greatest luxury life has to offer -- someone who comes and cleans my apartment once a
week (heaven!).
